What is G-Cloud?
G-Cloud is a UK government program used to drive the government wide adoption of cloud computing. The G-Cloud provides public sector organisations with the opportunity to acquire products and services from a pre-approved list of suppliers, which streamlines the process to save public sector organisations time when looking for services, while at the same time reducing costs and risk.
Services available via the G-Cloud include hosting, software, and cloud support and the Digital Marketplace allows public sector bodies to search for these services, all of which are on offer at Blue Frontier. Cloud computing has transformed how IT services are delivered, so much so the government has adopted a cloud first approach to all central government IT purchases.
