Daniel has been working as a software engineer at Blue Frontier since 2018. He uses his background in mathematics and computer science to create customised software for our clients, applying his adept coding skills throughout the process.
Daniel is involved in software projects from beginning to end – attending meetings to discuss software requirements, bringing projects into fruition through development, selecting user stories, carrying out implementation, and crucial testing.
Daniel works closely with the connected health team, helping to develop and maintain innovative point-of-care systems designed to improve the diagnosis and health management of serious medical conditions such as HIV.
What are your favourite things about Blue Frontier?
My favourite things about Blue Frontier include the excellent work environment, the enjoyable and rewarding projects, the friendly atmosphere, and of course, the well-loved coffee tap.
What does your Blue Frontier role involve?
As a software engineer, I am involved in designing, testing and developing software to meet client needs, using Open Source tools, creating and maintaining cloud-based systems and large-scale data stores.
What would your dream project be?
I work love to work as a developer on a project that combines games development and AI.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love learning languages, playing piano, travelling, playing Pokémon Go, and eating sweets.
