Mike joined Blue Frontier in 2021 as a web developer with over a decade of web development experience. Before joining the team, he worked on custom content management systems and unique web applications for clients that need a little more than just off the shelf products where he managed to tailor the systems to their specific requirements.
Mike is currently responsible for implementing new changes to existing sites and providing support for existing clients. He is developing a tool that makes content entry much easier for the client, with simple drag and drop customisation, allowing dynamic pages to be created with no development knowledge.
Mike is a hard-working individual who has great attention to detail. He thrives best when bouncing ideas of others to find the correct and best solution to problems and evolve idea to meet the clients’ needs.
What are your favourite things about Blue Frontier?
One of my favourite things at Blue Frontier is the work atmosphere, everyone is friendly and a joy to work with. The variety of work keeps my skills fresh and there is always something new to learn.
What does your Blue Frontier role involve?
What would your dream project be?
My dream project would involve learning C++, which will enable me to develop a game. I am slowly trying to learn the Unreal Engine, which allows for many game types to be built, however, there is lots to learn not just coding, but animation, asset creation and level design.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
One of my main hobbies outside of work is being a Cadet force adult volunteer. I get to train teenagers aged 12 – 18 on basic military skills and provide them with the opportunity to gain life skills such as first aid and teamwork. I also enjoy photography, cycling, climbing, and playing games.
Everyone at Blue Frontier has skills and expertise to offer to the benefit of our company and clients.
