Last Friday, 25th May, we got lucky with the weather and enjoyed a great late afternoon and evening party here at Blue Frontier.
We all finished a little early and headed outside to enjoy a barbecue, refreshing drinks, music, a little sunshine and great company. With a team of more than 40, there were plenty of us to enjoy the event and we were delighted to have been joined by some clients and friends of Blue Frontier.
Charter 1227 Barbecue Kitchen provided an exceptional barbecue of steaks, burgers and salads all laid on by Danny Bosic (of Charter 1227) and his team of chefs.
Drinks were provided courtesy of the award winning “Tally-Ho” bar – a cleverly designed and brilliantly converted horsebox bar for any occasion, run by Claire Burden and her partner Karl. Pimms, gin & tonic, prosecco and cold beer was the ideal drinks menu.
The tent (in case of rain) and furniture came from our great friend Tim Shipsey. Thankfully the sunshine reappeared for a few hours while we enjoyed the event.
We also enjoyed some music, provided by the inimitable DJ Will Haven (aka Stacy Woodhouse), one our Technicians.
It was a terrific evening and a great opportunity to share ideas, to unwind and to talk about the new and exciting challenges we have ahead of us. Our social events are always great fun and especially popular with staff as they have an opportunity to socialise with colleagues that they only see from time-to-time during work.
We have enjoyed a variety of social events over the years, including golfing, a pizza party, bowling, Christmas parties and pub quizzes. Every event has bought the team closer together and left us all with amusing stories and memories.
At Blue Frontier we believe it’s important to have social events outside of work, so the team have the chance to relax and spend time with their co-workers. It makes for a positive working environment and great communication between the different departments. The main purpose of these events is to reward the team for all their hard work and dedication and give them an opportunity to unwind and relax.
The barbecue social was a great success and we are all very much looking forward to the next one.
Our next social event will be to celebrate the opening of our new office in Southampton in September, fingers crossed we will be lucky with the weather again!
We have put together a committee to manage Blue Frontier’s social events and ensure that there is plenty for the team to look forward to. The social team includes:
