1st Machine Tool Accessories came to us looking to improve the user experience of their website and enhance product discovery. With many thousands of products to list and large volumes of detailed information to display, a new website was required. 

1MTA is a leading supplier of workholding and machining accessories. They take away the hassle of searching for the best items from reputable manufacturers and only stock products of the highest quality. To display the many thousands of products available, 1MTA sought out the skills of our WooCommerce development team to help them improve their eCommerce platform.

1MTA required a fully responsive website redesign in order to update all of their product information and to simplify the order process. The website needed to include new sections to help customers resolve any pre-purchasing questions, so resources needed to be available in the form of frequently asked questions, product catalogues and technical information areas.

With a lot of technical information to house in a variety of formats, such as whitepapers, drawings and videos, our team incorporated this into the design of the website. 

With thousands of products used for milling, turning, fixturing and more, the client and our team decided that WooCommerce, an open-source plugin for WordPress suitable for large online merchants, would be the best option to move forwards with.

The 1MTA rebuild was a challenging but enjoyable project, as we were able to improve their product cataloguing which in turn has undoubtedly led to an improved online presence.

SEO Support

As part of the launch of the new site, our SEO experts put everything in place for the new website launch, redirecting old product URLs to the new relevant categories, adding keyword optimised meta data to increase the visibility of the website, and ensuring the SEO health of the site was up together. We created friendly URLs, added internal links to boost SEO value and to help users navigate to additional information. We also installed Google Tag Manager in order to collate and monitor the number of conversions generated by the website. 

Moving forwards, Blue Frontier continues to support 1MTA with search engine optimisation, keeping an eye on the general health of the website and optimising it so that the client can remain visible online and continue to reap the rewards of their new site.
