Last week at Blue Frontier, the team put on their oven mitts and got baking all in aid of supporting the great work Macmillan Cancer Support does. We had an array of culinary talent on display at both our Southampton and Salisbury offices, which provided our colleagues with a massive variety of different cakes and sweet treats to choose from!
This year we raised a grand total of £1,009 for Macmillan through donations for the coffee morning and prize draws, all of which was organised by Charlotte Osborne, one of our Project Co-ordinators.
In our Salisbury office, we had a lovely mix of freshly baked brownies, flapjacks, cupcakes, lemon drizzle cake and cherry bakewells, all topped off with Sammy-Jo’s famous Citrus Surprise!
Our team down in the Southampton office also worked hard in their kitchens, baking an impressive display of coffee cupcakes, lemon drizzle, chocolate orange cake, doughnuts, Welsh cakes and a banoffee pie, skilfully made by the very talented Hayley Clasby.
There was a mixture of prizes won from our raffles and competitions, which included guess the number of sweets in a jar and a quiz. The highly sought after raffle grand prize, a Friday afternoon off, proved to be a hit with donations coming in thick and fast.
The grand prize was won by Mike Bunn, our Digital Director.
Not only did everybody here at Blue Frontier indulge in having some lovely, tasty treats, but as a team, we did our bit in terms of raising funds for this great charity.
We are extremely happy to have raised over £1,000 for Macmillan and would encourage you, your organisation or your business to get involved in a Macmillan Coffee Morning.
