We are excited to announce that two new starters have recently joined us at Blue Frontier - Teneal and Michael. Despite many of our employees not being able to see them in person, it hasn’t stopped them receiving a very warm welcome digitally. At Blue Frontier, it’s business as almost usual, and our new colleagues are already proving themselves to be extremely valuable. Here is a little bit about Teneal and Michael.
Teneal, originally from Zimbabwe, moved to the UK in May 2019. Before coming to England, she worked in the printing/IT industry for 5 years. She then went on a completely different venture and started working for a company in the medical field, working in sales and business development.
Teneal started working at Blue Frontier just before we went into lockdown, with just enough time to get to know our lovely Southampton office.
As a Sales Administrator, Teneal works closely with Matt Kerley, our Business Development Manager. On a day-to-day basis, you can find her speaking to clients about their enquiries, checking in on leads and creating tasks on our in-house organisational platform.
Teneal shared her thoughts on what she has learned in her role at Blue Frontier so far:
“It’s all still very much a learning curve for me; however, I already can tell I absolutely love working at Blue Frontier. The people are a breath of fresh air. Everyone works so hard, one minute there isn’t a peep in the office, and then when chats start, everyone gets involved. It’s so easy to work as a team here! I think the atmosphere in the office is fantastic, which helps tremendously when you are new to the company.”
Teneal, like the vast majority of our employees, is currently working from home. When asked about her experience, she said:
“I am longing to go back to work in the morning. I don’t think I've ever had such a strong urge to go to the office and learn. I also miss the team and everyone’s humour.”
When Teneal isn’t typing away on her laptop and dreaming about our amazing office, she is enjoying the outdoors. You can catch her: fishing, hiking and feeding meerkats.
Michael, our new IT Engineer, has a very different background. He joined the Army aged 18 and served for almost 12 years. During his time in the military, he was stationed in the Falklands, Canada, Germany, Cyprus, Afghanistan and various bases in the UK where he worked as an IT engineer for a defence contractor. He also honed his IT skills at a cloud service provider, where he was a network analyst, before joining Blue Frontier on the 20th of March.
Michael is part of the Blue Frontier technical team and provides technical advice and support to our clients. When asked what he enjoys the most about his new job, he said:
“I enjoy the opportunities this job offers in terms of professional growth and learning new skills. I have a keen interest in Office 365 and SharePoint, which I can explore at Blue Frontier.”
After work, Michael is a very active person. He spends a lot of time in the gym and likes about every sport on the planet. When he’s not lifting heavy weights, he likes to relax with his family.
We hope you enjoyed learning a bit about our new team members. We are ecstatic to welcome them to the Blue Frontier family!
