This year we celebrated Valentine’s Day with Blue Frontier’s first-ever 'Two, Four, Six, Eight, Who Do We Appreciate?’ It was a great way of bringing a little more positive energy and a smile or two while working from home and not being able to see our colleagues.
Participants wrote anonymous messages containing the name of the staff member they appreciate and why. The messages were sent to the mentioned colleague on the 12th of February, by Sammy our incredible Social Media Manager. Our inboxes were full of messages with reasons of why we are valued and appreciated in the company, which may have caused some blushing and smiling.
Here is what some of our employees thought about the messages they received:
“After a very difficult week last week, it was so lovely to wake up to some kind Valentines messages. Thanks very much and thanks, Sammy for organising. A really lovely idea.”- Hannah, Test Manager
“Two, four, six, eight was a great shout! I think it was nice to have a little morale booster and get some feedback from the team as I've not seen them in person for ages. It was a little reminder of how much we all get on, and my favourite bit was having a think and coming up with the messages for others, and letting them know what great people they are.” - James, Content Writer
“The Valentines messages I received made my day! It was such a lovely idea and so nice to get some thoughtful messages from the team, especially as we haven't been able to see each other recently. I loved being able to share what I appreciate about members of the team and hope that the messages made them happy. It made it mysterious that the messages were anonymous too!” - Emily, Digital Marketing Executive
It is thus safe to say that this event was a success, and will most likely be repeated next year, hopefully in person!
There are more online social events we are going to host in the upcoming weeks, including a Pancake Day competition and an Easter egg hunt, so make sure you follow us on all of our social media platforms to keep up!
