As lockdown is slowly easing and more of our team members venture back into the office, we have been carefully considering how to make our working environment as safe as possible for both employees and visiting clients. We have implemented social distancing measures in both offices and taken all of the necessary precautions to comply with the government's guidelines surrounding COVID-19.
The first safety measure put in place is testing everyone’s temperature before they enter the building. If any of our employees have a high temperature they will have to return home and isolate before returning to the office. If one of our employees has cycled or walked to work and their temperature reading is high they have to wait 15 minutes to test again in case it was a biased reading.
We have placed hand sainting stations at the doors of both of our offices. There are also smaller bottles of hand sanitiser mounted on the walls in various places in the office, including the meeting rooms and the kitchen.
We are complying with the governmental guidelines to ensure social distancing. We maintain a 2-meter distance between each working space. There are tape markers on the floor and posters to remind everyone to respect social distancing and wash their hands.
We are minimising the number of people in the kitchen area at any one time. There are also antibacterial wipes available so the surfaces and tables can be wiped down after each use.
We are also currently transforming our recreational room in Salisbury to further spread out our working spaces.
The number of staff in the office at any one time is being kept to the minimum, with others working remotely. We have put in place a rotation system that allows everyone to be in the office at least 3 times a week if they wish to be.
Deep cleaning has been increased, with regular disinfecting of shared areas. High traffic contact zones, such as handles, desks and chairs are being wiped down with an antibacterial cleaner throughout the day.
We have installed plastic screens between the desks to provide further protection for our employees and minimise the risk of infection.
We aim to maintain good ventilation by keeping the windows open when possible.
We are excited to be slowly returning to the office, however, we are still encouraging working from home a couple of times a week where possible to make sure our employees stay safe and our offices are not too full.
