In the midst of a pandemic, this year’s Christmas celebrations unsurprisingly differ from those before. With theatres having to close their doors this winter, many people have not been able to enjoy the much-loved tradition of watching a classic Christmas pantomime with the family. So when we were trying to decide what design to choose for our Christmas card this year, we decided to bring the show to you…
It was hard to top last year’s Christmas card, which included our favourite Christmas movies starring our very own team members. However, we were up for the challenge and wanted to try and top last year's card, so after putting our heads together and coming up with ideas from selfies in Christmas facemasks, to socially distanced reindeers pulling a sleigh, in the end, we decided to go for a classic... Cinderella, a Christmas panto starring some of our very own.
After we decided what and how we were going to do it, there was no stopping us. We went all out, from costumes, makeup, props, to commitment to the craft, it had to be West-End worthy! Our wonderful cast captured these characters after thorough research into method acting.

The stunning resemblance to fairy-tale characters was achieved with skillful make-up and flamboyant costumes (definitely not ordered from Amazon). The culprits for these phenomenal transformations were Sammy our Social Media Consultant, Melissa our Office Coordinator, and Hugo our Digital Marketing Intern.
As you can imagine, great fun was had during the day of the photoshoot and it was great to see so many smiles after what has been a very trying year for us all. Our fantastic photographer, Nick Layton, arrived early to set up a backdrop and prepare lighting and camera equipment whilst finishing touches were being made in the hair and make-up (aka digital marketing) department.
The post-production editing was done by our amazing Graphic Designer, Dave Davies, who managed to create a magical universe for our characters to be staged in.
Dave even managed to put together an entire programme, as you would buy in the theatre, but summarising the year we have had at Blue Frontier. Tori worked on writing the content for this to bring the story of Blue Frontier to life. These were distributed amongst the team as a little Christmas treat but you are welcome to flip through our digital version here.
Special thanks to everyone involved in bringing this to life. Here are a few of the faces from behind the scenes...
