All the teams at Sports Day.

The Blue Frontier team came together once again on Wednesday 2nd September for our annual Sports Day - a longstanding tradition that never fails to bring out everyone's competitive streak. This year, the weather had other ideas, but a bit of rain was never going to hold us back.

Heading to Pitton

The team headed to Pitton Village Hall, where they were split into four teams for the afternoon: Blue, captained by Luke; Green, led by Mike; Pink, under Marc; and Yellow, captained by James. With bragging rights up for grabs, all four captains were ready to rally their teams and battle it out for victory.

Let the games begin

The action kicked off with the Inflatable Wrecking Ball, followed swiftly by Inflatable Hungry Hippos. From there it was onto Over Under and the Relay, with every game adding to the drama. By the time the dust settled, Luke's Blue team and Mike's Green team were locked in a tie at the top, setting the scene for a decider.

James's Yellow team joined forces with Blue, while Marc's Pink team paired up with Green, and it was time for the game that would settle it all: rounders.

I really enjoyed the team sports day! It was such a great opportunity to bring everyone together and spend time with people from teams I don’t usually get to work with. The atmosphere was great, the food was really good, and it was a nice change from the usual work environment. It was a really fun day and a great way to get everyone together outside of work!

The decider

Nobody was holding back. Some team members put everything into their batting, and the game quickly became one of the highlights of the day. In the end, it was the Green team who came out on top, sealing their win with plenty of celebration on the field.

Last BBQ of the summer

With the games wrapped up and appetites well and truly earned, the team ended the day with what was likely the last BBQ of the summer. Rain or no rain, it did not disappoint, rounding off another brilliant Sports Day in true Blue Frontier fashion.

Sports Day was a brilliant way for us to come together in the spirit of healthy competition; we all had a lot of fun and enjoyed great company and great food!
