We’re delighted to announce that we have completed our annual surveillance audits with our certification body, CQS, across all four of our standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001.

We also achieved Grade 1, indicating no additional findings and demonstrating the best possible outcome for our compliance and the standard of work across the company every day.

An ISO accredited agency

These ISO standards help to demonstrate the quality of our offering, and we are constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve our systems, processes, and operations.

ISO 9001

This certification is one of the leading global standards for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It provides a framework to deliver consistent high-quality products, streamlined operations, and customer satisfaction to ensure that we meet customer and regulatory requirements, all while improving our processes.

ISO 13485

As a widely internationally recognised QMS for the medical device industry, ISO 13485 ensures that these devices are consistently designed, developed, produced, and distributed with standards in mind. This not only helps us to meet regulations but also ensures that medical equipment remains safe, compliant, and effective.

ISO 14001

This is an international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS) that provides a framework for businesses to monitor, manage, and minimise their carbon footprint. This helps us to comply with relevant legal and environmental considerations while doing our best for the planet.

ISO 27001

The final ISO is for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and delivers a guide for managing and protecting our digital and physical assets. As a risk-based framework, it helps to protect sensitive data, reduce the risk of cyber attacks, and helps businesses maintain regulatory compliance, such as GDPR.

A Whole Team Effort

Maintaining our ISO certifications is an ongoing commitment that continues throughout the year, not just when an audit comes around. It involves continually reviewing and improving the way we work, making sure our processes remain effective, supporting our teams, and ensuring we consistently meet the requirements of each standard.

That commitment is shared across the business, with every team playing a part in maintaining the high standards that our clients expect. Our internal audit programme helps us identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring we're always looking at how we can do things better rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

As Blue Frontier's internal auditors, Izzy, Jenny and Hannah played key roles in assessing the effectiveness of our management systems and helping drive continual improvement throughout the year. Hannah, Compliance and Governance Lead, also represented Blue Frontier during the external surveillance audits conducted by CQS, demonstrating how our management systems support the business and meet the requirements of all four standards.

Hannah said:

People often only see the audit, but that's really just the final part of the process. The real work happens throughout the year by continually looking at how we can improve, making sure our processes work for the business, and helping teams understand why they're important. These accreditations give our clients confidence that we're committed to doing things the right way, and achieving a Grade 1 result across all four standards is something everyone at Blue Frontier should be really proud of.
