When it comes to pull-ups, your body can do much more than your mind tells you it can, especially when it comes to raising money for charity. Our very own James Fry (Managing Director) and Michael Raisbeck (IT Engineer) could not resist the temptation and added some fierce competition to the event.
We managed to raise a total of £300, which we will donate to the Salisbury Hospice. It was excellent to see some of the rest of the team put their strength to the test and help increase the total sum. It was, of course, all done at an acceptable social distance. With the majority of the Blue Frontier workforce still operating from home, in accordance with the government's guidance, it was great to share this news internally among the teams.
Each pull-up was worth £1 and we completed them in sets throughout the day. Our pull-up champion was Michael who managed to raise £113!
We have decided to donate to the Salisbury Hospice Charity, which provides nursing and medical care, emotional support, creative activities, and much more. We greatly admire the work they do and want to help, especially now, during these trying times.
It was a great opportunity to have a little break from the usual business and put our team to the test, but more importantly, raise some money for a fantastic cause!
